Tour Itinerary: 8 Days Morocco Imperial Cities Tour from Marrakech

Day 1 airport marrakech

When you arrive to Marrakech airport, you will find our driver waiting for you to pick you up and transport you to your hotel or riad.

Day 2 marrakech - telouet – ouarzazate

After a flavorful breakfast, we’ll go to Telouet by crossing the Tizi-N-tichka pass through the High Atlas Mountains (2260m above sea level) in order to visit the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui and enjoy lunch in the citadel. Our journey will continue to Ait Benhaddou via Ounila valley and its Berber villages to reach Ouarzazate where we’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a typical hotel.

Day 3 ouarzazate-skoura palm-valley of roses-dades gorges

On the third day, after breakfast, we’ll depart at 8:00 AM to Skoura, home to Kasbah of Amredil which is situated in a spacious palm grove and marks the beginning of the “Route of one thousand Kasbahs". We’ll make our way through the gorgeous valley of roses. Then, you’ll meet the nomads that inhabit the caves, go to Dades gorges to explore the rock formations, visit Boulmane du Dades for a lunch break, have dinner and spend the night in hotel.

Day 4 dades gorges – toudra gorges - erfoud – merzouga dunes

The four day will begin with a typical breakfast. Then, you’ll have free time to explore the favored spot for many climbers, Todra Gorge, where you’ll hike up the 300m high canyons. Our journey will continue to Erfoud for having lunch to go directly to Merzouga. We’ll be in hotel at 4:00 pm where you can enjoy the pool before your camel trek in the splendid dunes, a wonderful Place with great Sunset and Sunrise views. In the nomadic camp, you’ll spend a memorable night of good food and music around the campfire before sleeping in tents under the desert sky.

Day 5 merzouga dunes - tazarine - agdez – zagora dunes

On the morning, you’ll wake up early to catch the Sahara sunrise and return back to the hotel in Merzouga for taking a quick shower and having breakfast. Afterwards, you’ll meet the driver to head to Tazarine, have lunch In Agdz, visit the fortified village and explore the cradle of the Alawite dynasty that reigned over the past three centuries. Finally, we’ll continue driving to zagora for another Camel trek and overnight desert camp.

Day 6 zagora dunes-ouarzazate-ait benhaddou kasbah – marrakech

In Zagora, before sunrise, you’ll awake to see the first magical lights of the day, have a Berber breakfast in the camp, return back to meet the driver and start your journey back to Marrakech. After having lunch in a local restaurant in Ouarzazate, you’ll visit taourirt Kasbah, explore the Studio of cinema and after that go to the UNESCO world heritage site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. In the afternoon, we will continue driving via the Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech around 17:00 pm.

Day 7 guided city tour "full day"

Your final day of the tour is fully devoted to explore the red city of Marrakech that combines ancient Aesthetics of an old fortified medina with the french-era streets of Gueliz. In Jemaa el Fna square, you will find many performers of all sorts: story-tellers, dancers, snakes charmers and musicians and at night the square turns into a very spacious open air restaurant. You will get the chance also to visit the Koutoubia Mosque which is built in the 12th century in the reign of Almoravid Dynasty and the “seven saints” of the ismailian era as well as the tombs of many local historical figures. Dinner and overnight will be in Hotel.

Day 8 transfer airport marrakech

Our driver will transport you to the airport depending on your flight time; he’ll help you with the luggage and carry you safely to the airport.
